*There is room for flexibility with this! I understand children fall into different schedules as they age, but this is a general schedule for my children and I to aim for in order to maximize our time together, keep us all on track, and give parents a general understanding of what their child is up to during different parts of the day.
**Throughout this schedule, children will be experiencing both indoor and outdoor play, sensory play, music, interactive toys and puzzles, reading stories, receiving cuddles, practicing skills, connecting with their peers, and so much more!
Will food be provided?
As the children in my care will have very different diets considering their age range, I ask for all snacks, lunches, milks, formulas, etc. to come from home. Another big consideration in this decision is I worry about allergies. As children are trying foods for the first time as they age, and are still developing, no one knows if a child has an allergy until it is too late. Hence, for the safety of your child, other children in my care, and myself, I ask that every food your child brings be something the child has already tried at home.
Am I licensed?
Yes! I am fully licensed through the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division. My facility number is 384005094. Under my license, I am allowed to care for four infants under the age of two, or three infants under the age of two in addition to three children over the age of two by myself.
How do I handle naps?
I will provide each child with their own crib, fitted sheet, and sleep sack (with legs, no potato sack style or swaddles). I follow the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines, ensuring that each child is put to sleep on their back, in a crib, and possess no loose items.
How will I communicate with parents enrolled in my program?
Each day, I will provide families with a report consisting of eating habits, time slept, diaper changes, and any new developments I am noticing in their child. Each day at drop off and pick up I will be there to give a brief summary, and am happy to schedule a time for a more in depth conversation if needed. If parents need to contact me throughout the day, a text message is the best way to reach me and I will respond as soon as I can within reason.
